Last night, after Laura cleared the table and rinsed the dinner dishes without being asked, and Andrew washed the pans dinner was in and helped finish up the rest of the dishes, I heard some very beautiful music being played on the piano. When I went into the living room to my surprise Andrew and Laura were playing a duet. It was so nice to see them playing the piano together. They played the duet for a while and then took turns playing some of their favorite pieces and also some of the music they have composed. I was happy to see and hear that all the effort to get them to piano lessons each week, was and is definitely worth it. What a great way to start off the evening.
Today I am grateful for unexpected pleasures.
