Day 5 and 6 - October 16th and 17th

Day five was really a wonderful day.  It rained, but not terribly hard and we drove up the Islands of Lake Champlain to the Canadian Border and then back down Eastern New York.  We stopped at a quaint little shop called Apple Farms and had syrup shipped home.
Mike trying to decide which way to go.

Eastern New York, Lake Champlain behind us.  We are across the street from someone's home.  Lucky people!  The pictures cannot do the leaves justice.

Fort Ticonderoga.  It stopped raining when we arrived here, it was such a beautiful view from every part of the Fort.

Mike entering the Fort - the plaque behind him states that people like George Washington, Benjamin Frank and Ethan Allen had passed through that gate.  On our way out we saw wild turkeys at the side of the road.

Day 6 - we went to Brigham Young's Birthplace Monument in Vermont.  It is actually sitting on the edge of the community baseball field.

Hartford, Connecticut the Colt Factory.  Mike had to get his picture taken here.  This was the last day of the trip.  We had a 6:30 am flight the next morning.  It was such a memorable and enjoyable time.  I'm ready to go again!
