It was time to say goodbye to the lovely town of Gloucester and the Thomas Riggs Home

At the Gloucester Museum Archives - Mike holding a document that Mary Millett (8th great-grandmother) signed over her property to her son Thomas Millett in 1680.
After we left Gloucester we drove through New Hampshire and into Vermont. It was so beautiful with all the leaves changing. I think Vermont was the prettiest state and Mike does as well. It is called the Green Mountain state. We went to the Joseph Smith Birthplace Monument. It was so peaceful there. The Monument is 38 and 1/2 feet tall. A foot for every year of the Prophet's life. It is solid granite. It is amazing how they got the monument in place.

Behind the monument there is a lovely road and you can drive or walk, we chose to walk down to Joseph's Grandparent's homesite and also a stone bridge, which I am standing on. I was so pretty with all the fall leaves.
Stockbridge, Vermont Maplewood Cemetery. Gravesite of Ebenezer Millett (4th Great-Grandfather). This was our last stop of the day. We stayed the night in Barre, VT that is where the quarry that they made the Joseph Smith Monument is located. It was an amazing day!
