We got 2 emails today one for mom and one for dad, they were fairly similar in content, but I think this one tells a little more of how Andrew is doing.
Yah I´ve pretty well adjusted to the schedule here, which at times can be very repetitive. Most of our learning is through our teachers, but about once or twice a day we´ll go use a language learning system called TALL, which everyone in my district (5 other elders) hates. I like it but at times, it expects you to know a lot more than you should for what it´s teaching you. For instance, you just start trying to learn a certain grammar, but it throws complete sentences at you with sometimes much more advanced grammar and word usage that it can be really confusing. I´ve really devoted myself to studying .... my name is this, what´s your name? (In Portugese it´s, olá, meu nome é Elder Millett. Qual o seu nome?) On Friday, we´re going out into the streets to do our first street contacts....Sometimes the days here are extremely tiring, but it´s great because i get to learn so much, language, doctrine, and culture. Today, we´re going to go with our teacher to a steak house buffet thing which costs only R$12 (12 Reais) which is only like $6 US dollars, and i hear it´s really good. We just went to the police station today and they did our fingerprints. it´s good to hear that the weather in Arizona is nice for you guys. The weather here is kind of spontaneous. One day it´s very warm, the next it´s pretty cold, and windy. We have a room on the 6th floor so we get an amazing view of the city... well 4 of in our district. The other 2 are on the opposite side of the hall and there view is blocked by the other half of the MTC.. haha. Sounds like you guys had a great trip! My district was jealous of all the postcards you guys sent me :) How´s everyone holding up? Does Laura have fall break soon? Or did she already have it? So this Halloween it´s only going to two more years right? I can´t wait to see Brandon Lewis here. It´s always good to see a familiar face. Well, gotta go, hope your doing well and I´ll talk to you in a week!
-Andrew
