NYC Day 2

October 8, 2012

Ready to brave the Subway!
At the terminal, heading to Ferry Street
Check out the typical tourist jacket, bright purple nonetheless!

Once we got on the train going the right way we were headed to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, as well as the Clinton Castle.

Lady Liberty was getting a makeover so you could not go inside.
It was a crazy busy day because of the Columbus Day Holiday.

Statue of Liberty in the distance

The first of the Twin Towers being rebuilt

Macy's first escalator

Was this the miracle on 34th street?

Balcony of original building

Yes! He kissed me at the top of the Empire State Building

View from the south - this picture does not do it justice, this is my favorite view!
Absolutely amazing!

Carriage Ride in Central Park - I needed it, we decided to walk the
22 blocks from the Empire State Building to Central Park

The driver was a cute little Irish guy that's lived in NY
for about 25 years. Such a big park, 830 acres 2 miles long, a half mile
wide and roads that run underneath.
