It was a sunny, but cold and windy day as we left Montreal. Due to time constraints, the road and freeway mess in Montreal, we didn't get to see much of it all. On the way out we did stop by and see the Montreal Temple, it was easily spotted from the freeway.
Mike's fifth great-grandfather was a witness to this battle and Mike has always wanted to see this.
Quebec was very cold, but beautiful. We had to purchase hats and gloves si we could walk around the enormous complex without freezing. There were even couple of times we got some snow flurries, thankfully it didn't stick. This was an amazing place, and honestly you need a good couple of days to see everything
The Citadel
One of several cannons on the grounds, they even shoot one off every once in awhile.
Old Town Quebec - Cute little shops
This is what happens when the wind is blowing and you wear a knit cap!
Gates into the fort
It was a great day, got lots of walking in and learned a lot about the last battle of the French and Indian War. After such an active day, we decided to stay in for the night and order Pizza.
