Arriving at Border Crossing
Yes! The United States of America
The day started out a little rainy but as we headed, South and West, the sun was out and the skies were clear! The scenery and especially tha fall foliage were beautiful. I have to admit that it was nice being able to read the traffic signs once again. Though I did miss the friendly Bonjour as we walked into stores and restaurants.
It was a long drive back to Newark, but a very scenic and relaxing one, well at least until we got to Newark. Their freeway system is rather odd, especially because they have you going at freeway speeds through shopping and hotel districts and by the time you see where you need to turn, it is just too late.
It has been a great trip with a lot of fun memories. We're leaving wishing we could see more, there is so much to take in here in New York and the whole region, we barely scratched the surface. We definitely have to come back a few more times!
