From Porto Velho, Brazil

To Mom:
We painted the kitchen of a house for a service project for a lady.... She already knows these things are true but "just isn't feeling like getting baptized yet." Her daughter's a member, and is helping a bunch so... we'll just let things run their course. We're going to visit today because they offered us a churrasco, or a BBQ grill thing with. Brazilians make meat very well. I'm honestly impressed. We also marked a baptism for this sunday yesterday. Should be the start of a lot of families getting baptized. We learned a lot about a Plan of Action in our last zone conference and "ask and you shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you." I thought i knew how to pray, but i ended using 2-3 hours just to study completely all the examples of prayer and how we need to reason and be very specific with the Lord in our prayer, although He already knows everything and our needs. Everything is going good, i've never felt so much peace in my life or studied as hard as i have to learn new things. i don't have much time today either so i'll wrap it up, but sounds like everything is going good there, and i'll pray for the sickness to pass. Thanks for everything! Much love!

To Dad:
We didn't get a baptism last week but we marked one for this sunday, and maybe we can mark another today for this sunday. This week we painted a kitchen in house for a service project. It was a bunch of fun, but hard and very hot that day. Things are going well, we met some people in the street that stopped us to talk to us and ask where the church is, and what time the meetings are. The family has a lot of interest and wants to see the church this sunday. We left a book of mormon yesterday with them and also the invite to pray to know if it's true. Today we'll teach A Palavra de Sabedoria or the word of wisdom to them. They already have a lot of faith and desire to follow, so it shouldn't be very difficult. Well, i'll talk to you next week dad. Hope that everyone overcomes the sickness soon. Love ya a lot!

Love hearing from him! You can tell from his English that he has not spoken much of it lately. (That's a good thing!)

Reading Andrew's letter makes me miss the mission field.
