It's our family tradition to let the Birthday Person pick the restaurant they want to go to and invite a couple of friends to join us. This year, Laura picked Red Robin, she loves their clucks and fries, and invited Addi Heap and Anna D'Ambrosio to join us.

The look on her face is from not wanting the Birthday song and dessert, but getting them anyway. Isn't that what friends are for, making sure those things happen?
I found out it's tradition to have your picture taken in front of the Statue of Liberty or as one of Laura's friends called her, the Lighthouse Lady.
It's just not a birthday without getting your free dozen doughnuts and Krispy Kreme.
"Enough with the pictures already!"

Laura and AnnaWhile Laura and her friends were walking through the parking lot, Mike used his loudspeaker to sing Happy Birthday to Laura, she was a bit embarrassed, but laughed. They also went past a little 2 year old girl, who was also celebrating her birthday but was sad because she lost her balloon, so Laura gave her one of hers and a doughnut, it made everything all better.
