"This transfer passed pretty quick."

Manaus Mission Christmas Boat Ride on the Black and the Solomon River

Andrew and some local wildlife

Hey family!
It was good to talk to you guys too! This Christmas was a lot better than the last. This transfer passed pretty quick. On tuesday we all received our new companions. Now i'm with Elder Oxborrow. He's from Las Vegas and has about 8 months in the mission. He's a nice calm guy and also knows Elder Fox, one of my older companions, from before the mission. I was sad to see Elder Calazã go. He was a cool guy. So i talked to Elder Silveira, and he said that he would pay for half of my passage to and from Southern Brazil after the mission. He comes from a mildly rich family i guess. It'd be a few months after i'd get back, and he'd come home with me. We'll see how it all goes. I had to buy a new pin drive because i was having problems with the other, but i didn't lose any photos, because there all still on my camera. I've been getting some good photos and i found a place i can upload photos that's close to home here. That's cool that you guys had a good Christmas dinner. I ate with some members here pizza, rice, those noodles i was describing, and some sort of chicken cassarole thing. It was a fun Christmas. That's crazy that the computer crashed. Apple computer's are really nice. Just have to get used to it a little bit. It's a little different from the other computers because it's uses completely different software. It's definitely a better computer. New Year's here in Brazil is the same thing as the United State, but maybe less celebrated. I haven't heard much about it from anyone around here, about any plans or activities for the ward. I think they'll just take the day off from work and stay home with their buddies or something.
So we're planning about 2-3 baptisms this week. The ward is giving a bunch of references, but there all kids, about 11-14 years old... it's good to baptize, but it's important to find men and families, which is getting difficult to find to teach here. So it was good to talk to you guys this Christmas, and hope you guys have a happy new year. Have a great week, talk to you guys later! Love you guys!
-Andrew
