"Things are going good here"

Yah, Elder Silveira is one of my Zone leaders so i see them a bunch and i have to pass a bunch of informations to them during the week so i'm pretty much always seeing them. We also played soccer with them today and the other missionaries. things are going good here. so the hippie guy is progressing but little by little. He has a lot of doubt about the 7th day being the sacred day, but i gave a very detailed explication about the 10 commandments, being a law given specifically to the jews, Christ came and brought a lot of change, there's profecies in the Old Testament that specifically the sabbath day would end and Paul quotes that scripture in the new testament and so on and so forth. We're going to visit today to see if he understood and accepted. he's really smart... i think he accepted it, but he's lived that way for so long that change is difficult. We'll see today. We do have a baptism for this sunday, with a boy named Elder. His name really is Elder. the 19 year old was progressing so well, but he started avoiding us all of a sudden and when we finally talked with him we couldn't get him to say what happened. Probably someone critized the church and he didn't want anymore, but he wouldn't talk to us... so we had to leave him... but we found a good family that we marked a baptism for, for the end of this month. So we'll work with that. I did get the package you guys sent. It looked like everything was in order, all the presents were still wrapped and everything so it arrived safe and sound. I know Elder Larson since the beginning of his mission in Acre. He came with me to Manaus and is in the mission office now. This should be his 3rd transfer in the field now. You know someone there in Mesa that knows him? I didn't get to see the Christmas devotional, i didn't even know there was one. sounds pretty good though. I did hear about Tiger Woods though... haha silly man, that's gotta be difficult to explain to your wife. I did see Barak Obama quickly on the Television. It looks like he roots for a soccer team called Flamengo (Flamingo) here in Brazil. Sunday was pretty crazy here because there was the Brazil championship game, so we ate dinner with a family here while everyone was going crazy in the streets. this transfer is passing by pretty quickly, things are going really good here. I hope you guys have a good Christmas and that all is going well. I don't know if Laura sent an email and it got stuck in Cyberspace again or something, but i didn't get anything from her!
