Hey family!
so this week we had transfers. I stayed here in Itacoatiara and Elder M. Souza went to Manaus, almost in my same area. It's the same district of missionaries and same stake, so he'll say hi to everyone there for me. My companion is Elder Curty, and he came from my first area there in Porto Velho, so it'll be fun to hear how everyone is doing there. We had a nice little transfer BBQ to celebrate. My companion was really excited to leave here because he's been here for 7 months... but that isn't nearly as bad as my 2nd to last companion Elder Whitlock, who's going to stay there one more transfer, so he'll have at least year in that area if he's transfered next transfer. The family still couldn't get baptized because they drank coffee again, but i negociated with them where i gave them chocolate milk mix (called Nescau by Nestle) for the rest of the coffee. They didn't drink coffee yesterday.. they didn't even use the chocolate milk yet.. but it doesn't matter what they drink as long as it's within the word of wisdom and it's not a harmful substance. I still haven't flown on one of those small planes, because we didn't visit the other elders in the other cities. This time it was just an over the phone follow up. I'm not sure if the package has arrived yet, but i'll look next monday when i'm there in the mission offices, because we always have that leader council thing every transfer which is of course... followed up by quality pizza :) That's cool that there's missionaries there in the ward. I don't remember seeing any there when i was there. Are they starting to concentrate more on the Monterey ward now? That's funny that Elder Silveira called. You guys set up a time for him to talk with Bro. Spencer.? Does Bro. Spencer still speak Portuguese fluently? So that's interesting about the new state law with the illegal immigrants... weren't they already illegal in the first place?
I hope you guys have a great week. Thanks for your emails! Love you guys. Talk to you guys later!
