"Easter was pretty good this year."

Hey family!
Easter was pretty good this year. We ate with the District President. His family made a nice lasagna (which is a type of brazilian specialty here) and we ate a few chocolates and things. We only watched the second session of the Saturday conference and the priesthood session, which was great and informative. Taught some great things about giving blessings, faith required, and that we should look for medicine and doctor help before looking to be cured. I did travel again, i'm here in Manaus again in the offices writing to you guys. We had zone conference so we had to take the same 4 hour bus ride here, and we'll take it again 9 o' clock tonight. I still haven't been on one of those planes, but that's something that'll probably happen next week, or in two weeks. We have 4 baptisms marked for this week, but i think 3 of them will be for next week, because we have to send in wedding papers for the couple that's planning on getting baptized. the 3 are a family, and the one is an elderly lady that went to church with another investigator and is liking the church. Today was pretty fun because we ate at McDonalds. It was pretty great, there was a bunch of missionaries that went. We also walked around in the center of the city, i bought a few new ties and ice cream. Just kind of a nice relaxing day waiting for our bus ride to come. That's crazy that you guys had some earthquakes there too. We're starting to get a lot of earthquakes these days... sign of the times?!? Congratz that Laura won her soccer game. I hear that the USA has a good chance in winning the world cup that's coming up in a few months. I know everyone there probably doesn't even know that there's a world cup soccer tournament coming up, but everyone here in Brazil is getting way excited, buying flags and things to support Brazil. It'll probably be way difficult to teach during that time, but we'll see what happens.

Thanks for sending some shirts and pin/jump drive stuff for me and also for the help in signing up for school! I love you guys there! Have a great week! Talk to you guys next week
Love, Andrew

The U.S. winning the World Cup? My Dad will love that one--ha ha. It's true though America is slow on the soccer thing. Glad he had a great Easter and got to go to McD's :)
