Missionary Moments from Brazil

You finally just got my postcard? i sent that a month and a few days ago... geez letters take forever. i was told it´d be about a week. this week went really well. I finally am having full length conversations with brazilians and am thinking in portugese. Yesterday i had a different companion because a companionship wasn´t doing so well. He´s brazilian and we had fun together and did well i thought. Just doesn´t set very high goals. He has a baptism marked for not this sunday but the next sunday. Laura sounds like she´s doing way good... My first transfer is coming up and i´m excited to see if i stay or go. I kind of want to go so i can see some place new, but i also want to see these people we´re working with get baptized this sunday and next. They´re actually friends of the girl we baptized last sunday. The baptism went really well. The water was a bit dirty, but i wasn´t the one going under so i didn´t really care. She didn´t mind either i think. She was really excited. The great thing, is now the father wants us to help him get married, the mother wants her other daughters to get baptized, so we´re giving lessons, and really helping out this family, and bringing back the father who fell into inactivity. They´re such a nice family, just the only problem is the mom and dad aren´t married, and until they´re legally married, which takes two months to happen here in Brazil, the mother can´t be baptized. We had a family night with them too, and that was a lot of fun. We played a game where you try to open a candy on a plate with two spoons, while everyone else is flipping coins trying to get both to be heads so they can take the plate and try and open the candy. the coins go around the circle while the person with the candy is trying to open it before someone flips two heads. it was pretty funny, and i got some pictures, just have to find a place to upload. i have to wait until someone brings the letters and the packages from cuiaba, but at least they won´t be stuck here if i leave. well i hope everything continues to go good for you guys, i love you, and i´ll talk to you next week!
