Hi family!
How's everyone doing there? This week was good here. We did have a baptism on Tuesday, though it was a little complicated to make happen. We arranged with a member to baptize him, but the Mission work leader brought two jumpsuits and it didn't fit him, so i forced myself into it (it was kind of a tight fit) and baptized him. Some times you just gotta make do with what you got. We've also ran into an awesome couple that we're going to help get married so that at least for now the husband can get married. But i think she'll want to get baptized, we just haven't taught her anything outside of the Book of Mormom because she came in on the end of a lesson with her husband. They're really young too, the husband is 18 and the wife is 24. We received a reference from some missionaries of 4 people that can be baptized, so we'll pass by there today or tomorrow and invite them to be baptized this Sunday. The members do give a few referrals, but now we're just hunting down as many less actives as we can to find more people to baptize. This week i got my teeth cleaned at a member dentist's office so i can start using a teeth whitener thing. we got lost for a few hours trying to find the right bus that would take us back to our apartments though... Later today i'm going to eat leopard at the stake pesident's office. Weird huh? Elder Silveira is going home here in two weeks. He's pretty excited and worn out here. Retention is ok here in Manaus. It improved alot. it's at every 7/10 that are baptized stay in the church. Manaus is still in it's rainy season. It usually rains hard a big chunk of the day, and then a few hours later the sun comes pounding down on everyone. That's cool that it's raining there now. Should keep the weather nice and cool there. Are you guys still practicing with the paintball guns too? Have you guys played with any other people yet? Sounds like Laura had a nice 15th bday. what'd you guy do with the dogfood and celery root? I did get the pictures, i just haven't seen them yet, because the internet is really really slow in this internet house place. Dad said that Uncle Nathan passed by on Saturday, is he passing by a lot now? how's he doing? That's cool you guys went to Costa Vida. i did see a pizza hut here in Manaus today while i was riding the bus to the dentist. It looked really fancy and foreign... ha. that's cool that Isaac is going on a mission soon. How many missionaries will that be from our ward out on missions?
It was great to hear from and talk to you guys again. Hope you all have a good week. Love you guys! talk to you guys later!

Leopard huh? (if I'm spelling that right?) I can't wait to hear if he liked it. I think him not fitting into the baptismal outfit is funny. He's super skinny--it must have been for a child ha ha. My sister had soup with spiders in it on her mission...crazy huh? She went to Peru.
Hi Elder Millett,
Just wanted you to know that we haven't needed to buy a boat yet in California. It has been raining for over 5 days. Today, at last the sun is coming out, so maybe the grass seed we planted will be coming up. ;0) It never has rained this consistently in California. I'm glad we are not near some of those burn areas that have to worry about mud slides.
How the the leopard?
It sounds like you are doing fine and baptizing. We are really proud of you.
Christmas was really fun with the trip to Franklin, MA. We have 6 grandkids there and hadn't been there for years. I learned what really cold is!!!
Keep up the good work and I promise to write more often.
Aunt Jan
